With the engines located under the aft cockpit (infinite engine room headroom with hatches removed!), the majority of the mechanical equipment is located in the "Basement" below the salon floor. This results in a clean, dry, and cool operating environment for the equipment, easing both service and access. Access is through the salon floor, and via stairs from forward.
